The Most Beautiful Easter Decorations
We offer a wide selection of different sizes of styrofoam eggs and other Easter figures. The eggs shown in the pictures use materials such as micromosaics, millefiori, 10 mm glass mosaics, and various ottoman glass mosaics. We recommend adhesives such as Silicone or Olba glue for best results.
Easter Egg Supplies and Instructions with Pictures:
- Styrofoam egg (12 cm), adhesive, e.g., 25 ml silicone glue
- Softglass mosaics in 2 colors, 200 g each, 1x1 cm glass mosaics in 3 different colors
- Grout approximately 150 g, gloves, grouting sponge, cloth
- Start gluing the pieces from the middle of the egg. Leave about 2 mm gaps between the pieces and apply glue to only a small area at a time, avoiding getting glue on your fingers and the pieces. First, glue the squares in three rows, then glue the other softglass pieces to one end of the egg. Let it dry for a while, then glue the softglass pieces to the other end. Allow the work to dry thoroughly.
- Mix the grout powder and water into a porridge-like consistency according to the grout instructions and spread it carefully over the entire surface with a rubber spatula or by hand. Always use gloves and a dust mask when grouting.
- Let the grout dry for about 5 minutes, then wipe the surface with a damp sponge or piece of superlon in circular motions. This treatment smooths and tightens the grout.
- Finally, clean the slightly dried mosaic surface with a dry, soft cloth. Dispose of grout residue in the trash, not down the drain.
You can easily make fun chicks and roosters by combining the metal parts of the chick or rooster with a styrofoam egg. Finally, glue mini beads and soft glass mosaics onto the surface of the styrofoam egg.
